I’ve lived in East Greenwich for over 28 years with my spouse, Dr. Patricia Flanagan. We now have valued and loved the numerous great qualities that make East Greenwich an distinctive place to stay, work, and lift a household.
At 16 sq. miles our city is small however we’re centrally positioned within the state and luxuriate in a waterfront, a historic downtown, and a Most important Avenue enterprise district. We now have business growth alongside R.I. State Routes 1 and 2, and a rural “West of Route 2” space with winding, canopied nation roads lined by stone partitions. Since shifting to East Greenwich, I’ve appreciated the sense of place that the city provides and have labored to make a distinction in my neighborhood.
I’ve mixed my love for East Greenwich with a dedication to public service. I’ve beforehand served on the Planning Board, Municipal Land Belief, and as a member of the Board of Hearth Commissioners. I’m now in my sixth time period as a City Councilor, the final two phrases as president of the Council. I’ve seen up shut how necessary native authorities is to the standard of lifetime of our residents. Though nationwide and statewide politics appeal to the lion’s share of the general public’s consideration, native politics typically have extra affect on residents’ everyday life.
